TROJANS WIN EPIC BATTLE

The Johnstown Trojans put up a 23-0 lead in the fourth quarter and withstood Forest Hills 17 point rally to beat the Rangers and move to 9-1 at the end of the LHAC schedule  for the second year in a row.  They also have unofficially won the LHAC title for the 2nd year in a row as they have beaten the Rangers to close out the regular season the last two years.
The Trojans were led by the rushing of Tim Odum, the receiving of DaQuan Minter and the entire defense for this hard fought victory.  The Trojans held the vaunted Rangers rushing attack to -9 yards rushing on the night.  Alkwan Williams returned a fumble/interception for a score in the 3rd quarter to push the lead to 23-0.  The Trojans battled nagging injuries all night long as they were without standout WR/FS Mark Watosn for much of the 2nd half due to a hand injury.
The Trojans will play on Saturday, November 19th at 1:00 PM in Altoona at Mansion Park vs. the District IX Champion who has yet to be determined.  To read more about the Trojans victory over Forest Hills clock on the Johnstown Tribune Democrat link and to watch Channel 6’s news coverage of the game click on the WJAC-TV link below.
