John Bianconi
Head Coach
Head Coach for the Junior High Girls this year is John Bianconi. Mr. Bianconi has been coaching basketball for eleven years. His previous coaching experience consist of Panther Youth Basketball, a community team that consisted of boys in the Penn Cambria School District (2000–2006), The Summit Tennis and Athletic Club, where he was the assistant athletic director working under 2006 Blair County Hall of Fame inductee Coach John Swogger, Ni River Middle School in Spotsylvania Virginia (2006-2009) where he was the head 7th & 8th grade coach, Riverbend High School in Spotsylvania Virginia (2009-2010) where he as the head J V coach and Varsity assistant.
Mr. Bianconi graduated High School from Bishop Carroll High School in 2000 where he played football and basketball. Following high school, Mr. Bianconi attended Penn State Altoona then transferred to Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he graduated in 2006 magna cum-laude with a degree in Health and Physical Education for grades k – 12. Then in 2009 Mr. Bianconi Graduated with a Masters Degree in Physical Education from West Virginia University.
Besides basketball Coach Bianconi has also coached football for the past eleven years. Mr. Bianconi is a Wellness nine and Freshman Seminar Teacher at Greater Johnstown High School. Mr. Bianconi is in his sixth year teaching and second year with the Greater Johnstown School District. Mr. Bianconi currently resides in Cresson with his wife, Heather and one year old daughter, Talia.

- Working as teacher in Indiana and Cambria county school districts for past 7 years.
- Coaching Experience: Assistant Jr High Girls' Coach Derry Area-- 1999-2000
- Head Boys' Junior High Coach West End Catholic-- 2006-2007
- Coaching in Johnstown's Girls' Youth Program (Grades 4-8) for the past 4 years.
