Eric Pfeil

Director

Eric Pfeil has been the Marching Band director at Greater Johnstown High School since the fall of 2008.  He graduated from IUP in the spring of 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education.

In addition to serving as the Marching Band director at Greater Johnstown HS, Eric also teaches the 6th grade band, 7/8th grade band, Middle School Marching Band, High School Concert Band, High School Jazz Band and he is the director of the Gnomon Indoor Percussion Ensemble at JHS.

During his college years, Eric instructed the Marching Band activity at Westmont Hilltop, DuBois Area and Elizabeth Forward.  He was the director of the DuBois Area Indoor Percussion program in 2004.  In the summer of 2005, Eric marched with the World Champion Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps from Allentown, Pa. 

In his spare time, Eric can be found supporting the three major sports teams in Pittsburgh.  He also is an avid online poker player and can be found gaming on Xbox Live!  

Adam Bukosky

Assistant Director

The newest addition to the GJSD music teachers, Adam is thrilled to be serving as the assistant marching band director. Adam graduated in 2008 from IUP with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education, as well as a minor degree in theatre. He is a native of Blairsville, PA.

At GJSD, Adam currently directs all 6-12 choral ensembles, the JHS orchestra, assists with JMS instrumental music lessons, and instructs a new Introduction to Theater course at JHS. He will also be directing the upcoming spring musical.

A true enthusiast of the marching arts, he has performed in the Blairsville High School marching band, as well as the IUP Marching Band drumline. As a percussion instructor and arranger, he has worked with several high school marching programs including the Penns Manor High School marching band, Forest Hills HS indoor percussion ensemble, and the D.H. Keith Jr. High School indoor percussion ensemble. Along with his percussion arrangements, he is quickly becoming a sought after wind arranger for several marching programs in the Western PA area. He will also be serving as a creative consultant with the Gnomon Indoor Percussion ensemble at Johnstown

Stefanie Zucco

Color Guard Instructor

Stefanie has been an employee of the Greater Johnstown School District for the Past 10 years. She was hired as a Teaching Assistant as well as the Color Guard Director at Johnstown Middle School. She currently works in the Life Skills Support room at Westside Elementary.

Stefanie retained the position as Color Guard Director at Johnstown Middle School during the 1999-2000 season. Under her direction the JMS Indoor Guard were the undefeated TIA Chapter 11 Middle School champions eight consecutive years. In the fall of 2008 she was hired as the Color Guard Director for Johnstown High School, a position that she was eager and excited to accept. To instruct a color guard at this level was a challenge she had been looking forward to for many years. During the 2009 Indoor season Johnstown Essay Performance Co. Indoor Guard was the TIA Chapter 11 Class A Guard Champions for the 7th straight year.

In addition to Johnstown High School and Johnstown Middle School Stefanie has also directed other color guards in the area and when asked, offers her time, talent and knowledge of the sport.

The love of Color Guard consistently encourages her to motivate guard members to be the very best at what they do and her passion for Guard and the music program as a whole inspires her to instill in its members the pride that has been a long standing tradition here at Johnstown.

Jackie Willnecker

Assistant Color Guard Instructor

Jackie is in her fifth year as the assistant color guard instructor here at GJHS.  Her career started in 1981 as the Trojan Majorette Adviser for 10 years.  Coming back to Johnstown in 2005 was a "dream come true" since this is her Alma-mater.  She is mostly known for her precise body movement instruction.

In the 14 years prior to her return, she worked with many local area majorette squads and color guards.  She also worked with Ms. Zucco, the current HS guard instructor at the MS teaching movement skills to her squad.

As well as working here at Johnstown, she also manages and directs her own dance studio; Jacqueline's School of Dance, as well as her own dance team.  She resides in the West End with her husband Dennis.  In her spare time she loves working with other local majorettes and guards to achieve better body movement skills.
