School To Work

Greater Johnstown High School provides its students with real world experiences and job training to aid in their personal and academic growth. Through these programs, our students gain a sense of accomplishment and develop an awareness of post-secondary opportunities. Here are just some of the school to work programs that are in place in our school.

Association of the Blind and Handicapped – Students enrolled in the life-skills class and apartment program have the opportunity to work at the Association of the Blind and handicapped. The student work day consists of a 2.5 hours and is run on a daily basis.

St. Vincent DePaul – Students in life skills classes also have the opportunity to develop their skills by participating in the food kitchen program at St. Vincent DePaul. This program is typically twice per week.
