Greater Johnstown School District

The Johnstown Middle School was dedicated and opened its doors to students on November 28, 1927 and has been a pillar of the Greater Johnstown Area Educational Community since that time.  Over the years, the school has gone by many different names and seen many changes.  However, one thing that has never changed is the high quality of student that passes through its doors to begin their middle school years and leaves prepared to embark upon their journey as a high school student.  Johnstown Middle School students have gone on to become doctors, lawyers, teachers, politicians, professional athletes, servicemen and women, as well as, many other integral and cherished members of our community. 

This tradition will continue on with the outstanding students that enter the middle school each year and the high-quality teachers that are here to meet them.  So we ask you to consider as you enter Johnstown Middle School, “Where will my journey lead me from here?”
