Class of 2009

On June 5th, 2009, commencement was held at Trojan Stadium to recognize and congratulate the 270 seniors of the Class of 2009. Although on the chilly side, the weather held up for this celebration of a chapter ending, and a new one beginning. The band played “Pomp and Circumstance” as the students entered the stadium to begin the evening. Mr. Dan Resenic welcomed the crowd of family, friends and guests. Speeches were then given by Katelin Lindrose (valedictorian), Lindsay Lovrich (salutarian), Alex Skufca (class president), and a poem was read by classmate Ezekial Wilt. The ceremony proceeded with an emotional speech from the Superintendent, Mrs. Barbara Parkins and some encouraging words were given to the graduates by a guest speaker, Dr. Gerald Zahorchak. It was now time for Mr. Resenic to recognize those seniors with some final words as he prepares to say goodbye to his career here at JHS. The names were called, diplomas given, and hand-shakes exchanged to finish off the ceremony. Congratulations and best wished to all of the graduates of the Class of 2009!

2009-2010 Fall Sports Physical Schedule

Following is the schedule for physicals for the 2009-2010 fall sport season. This includes all sports to be played in the fall. It is very important that the student athlete show up and be on time for their physical. If the student athlete can not be present at the assigned time, they may show up on another night. It is not yet determined if other free school physicals will be provided for the fall sport season. No one is permitted to participate in a sport that does not have a physical. If a student athlete misses these physicals, they may be required to get their physicals from their own physician and be financially responsible for that physical.
Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 will have their physicals at the high school cafeteria. Grades 7 and 8 will have their at the middle school cafeteria.
