Tackling Breast Cancer 2010

On Friday, October 8^th, 2010 the Greater Johnstown High School’s Key Club, Senior Class, and National Honor Society will join forces to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research in our area. The Trojans are determined to “Tackle Breast Cancer” but we cannot do it alone. We are asking the local news agencies to help us make this project as successful as it can possibly be.

The band, cheerleaders, football players, Trojan Army (fan section), alumni band and homecoming court will all don pink and white instead of the traditional blue and black attire to show their support and awareness of breast cancer. During the game there will be pink t-shirts, pompoms, and bracelets for sale in order to develop awareness and raise money to fight this disease that kills over 40,000 women each year.

The GJHS student organizations mentioned above will be at the game collecting donations to benefit the Windber Research Institute. Donations will be accepted in cash, check, or money order made payable to Johnstown Key Club.  Any one who would like to help out but cannot attend the game can send their check or money order to:
