Curriculum
Success for All Reading is a comprehensive language program designed to ensure the success of students throughout the elementary grades. The program is designed to prevent reading problems from occurring. The emphasis is on reading, writing/language arts and early childhood. It provides tutoring in reading for at-risk first-graders and the implementation of sound classroom strategies for each teacher. A family support component, which includes a system of interventions and parent workshops, is provided to prevent problems.
Everyday Math is a comprehensive mathematics curriculum developed by the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project and has earned the highest rating of any commercially published elementary mathematics curriculum through the federal government’s What Works Clearinghouse. Developed through a consensus among mathematics educators, Everyday Math is the result of how best to teach mathematics to children in school, while meeting the standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. The curriculum features Real-Life Problem Solving, Balanced Instruction, Multiple Methods for Basic Skills Practice, Emphasis on Communication, Enhanced Home/School Partnerships and Appropriate Use of Technology. This highest rating math curriculum will stimulate, motivate and challenge learning to its highest level of success.
