The Greater Johnstown School District is pleased to announce that Summer School 2008 will be held at the Greater Johnstown Middle School from June 13th-July 3rd, 2008. Registration will be held at the Greater Johnstown High School from June 10th-12th. Registration times are from 8:30am-3:30pm.

• $70.00 per course for students with a residence in the GJSD.
• $140.00 per course for all other students.
• No personal checks will be accepted, only cash and/or money orders are acceptable forms of payment.

The Greater Johnstown School District will utilize the PLATO Learning platform during summer school. Grades 9-12 will utilize the PLATO Learning solution. PLATO learning is the industry's foremost expert in secondary instructional technology, offering the most comprehensive library of rigorous, interactive content and assessment. PLATO Learning's dynamic instructional content engages students and makes learning fun. The PLATO system is self paced and allows students to quickly hone in on filling knowledge gaps. All assignments and assessments are mapped to PA standards.

Students will be required to attend a morning and/or afternoon session even though they are signed up for the PLATO web based platform. Students will not be permitted to work exclusively from home. However, student can work on all additional work from home. Students will work under the supervision of a certified staff member.
