GJSD PoliceThe Greater Johnstown School District Police Department (GJSD PD) was officially established on July 1, 2024, as part of the district’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safety and security as one of its highest priorities. As the largest school district in Cambria County, GJSD recognizes the vital importance of fostering a secure learning environment for all students and staff.

GJSD PD is comprised of four full-time officers and one part-time officer, bringing together a combined 104 years of law enforcement experience. Each member of the department contributes a unique skill set, enhancing the team’s ability to respond effectively to the diverse needs of the school community.

Our mission is to provide a safe and secure environment that promotes a nurturing and positive atmosphere, where learning and achievement can flourish—free from threats of violence or safety concerns. The GJSD Police Department is committed to performing its duties with skill, professionalism, and responsiveness to the evolving needs of our schools and community.
