today we honor and thank all of our veterans for their service courage and sacrifice your dedication in protecting our freedom means more than words can ever express on half of the greater Johnstown School District We Are Forever grateful I'd like to thank my grandfather Tony Dickens for serving in the military I would like to thank my grandfather Charles Jefferson who served in the Vietnam War I would like to thank my grandfather Daniel heart for serving World War II I would like to and I would like to thank my father Stephen heart for serving the Coast Guard I'd like to thank my dad Eric Royal for serving in the Air Force and I'd like to thank my great-grandmother for serving in for me I would like to think my uncle Marla Jeremy who is currently deployed in Germany my name is Keith Carter and I want to thank my mom my dad my grandfather for their service and Veteran thank you for your courage thank you for your service thank you for our freedom veterans thank you for your service and bravery thank you for all you have done thank you veterans I'd like to honor my grandfather John pavage Junior for a service in the United States Navy well done your sacrifices will never be forgotten proud of our veterans today every day I'm thankful for the soldiers that bought an award and risk their lives and for our freedom happy thank you for your service thank you for your service and have a happy Veterans Day better and thank you for your service we you would like to devote this poem we honor you today by Susan R Smith in memory of our veterans who are no longer with us like Jeff Smith s P2 U s Army Korea Alexander Smith's great grandfather and we would like to honor our veterans who are able to spend time with us and be remembered and honored for their sacrifice Hendricks is Happy Chris Marlowe Army 82nd Airborne he was a paratrooper and Colton's path Larry Thomas our veterans for in here we thank you for your service for all those years you sacrificed your time and give your life you preserved your freedom by willing paying the price if you were sent to our season limit in battle with scars and disease courageous and brave you wanted the storm you faced every battle with faith and beyond are you with joy for all that you've done you stood strong for our country for our daughters and sons remember we are with you so will you today hear what we say when our words speak eloquently special way let us express our love and thanks for the sacrifice today you serve in order for many years and days and we will never forget how you were strong and brave happy birthday better thank you for your service I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands 1 nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all that trans thank you for your service my name is Bill kotti I'm the Johnson High School principal I also served in the military for 30 years I'm a proud veteran of um the United States Army where I served for 30 years did several deployments and was part of a um Italian command I want to say uh thank you to all the veterans all my brothers and sisters out there it's a special day today and every day you know when we think about our veterans and and what's been done to serve this country you know how much I appreciate your service and what you've given to this country so have a great Veterans Day hi my name is Rich John's um I served in the Marine Corps for almost 28 years um provide had a great life for me and my family and that awesome experience hi I'm Alison Haney I served in the US Army from 2018 to 2021 I was a specialist as a horizontal operator and I I think everybody that has served in the US Military and who continues to support the US I am working at Park app in the alternative room and I work for ESS hi my name is Tom Mattis I'm director of the physical plant at a greater Johnstown school district and I'd like to thank my brother Steve Mattis for his years of service in the United States Army I want my students to recognize that Veterans Day isn't just about the past it's about the current ideals that we talked about in class every day and the things that our soldiers are fighting for like freedom and Duty and all of our Civic rights so when we say thank you um our gratitude is for helping to preserve those things and we hope to live those ideals um as the most sincere way to say thank you hi veterans thank you for your service thank you Veterans for our freedoms thank you Veterans for all you've done thank you for your service veterans thank you for your service hi veterans I just want to say thank you for your service and we appreciate you thank you Veterans for your service thank you for your service sacrifice Christ and bravery good morning my name is Mike daty I'm the assistant to the superintendent here at Gary Johnson School District today we come together to honor and thank the men and women who have served our country with courage sacrifice and unwavering dedication our veterans represent the best of what it means to serve putting others before self and standing up for the freedoms we all enjoy I also want to recognize and take a moment to send a thank you to my family members who have also served a reminder for many of us of how personal this day is their service like the sacrifice of all veterans here continues to inspire me every day on behalf of our district we thank you for your service we thank you for your sacrifice and thank you for being an example for the younger Generations we are deeply
